Backsplash, Splash!

I poked around online for hours and stumbled onto Susan Jablon Mosaics and then spent more time blending. Splish splash, a few moments later I was ordering up some samples. We don't have a great amount of area to cover, so we can splurge. What am I saying? We splurge anyway! I mean, heck, we're staying in this house forever, right? Why not do the kitchen up right!?



Well, yeah! Let's hear it for fancy backsplashes in contemporary kitchens!

Rainy Day Kitchen Cabinet Work

This weekend I'm building the final versions of some of our new kitchen cabinets. I'm making them out of 3/4" Maple plywood. I'll fabricate the doors later. Here are the plans for the two landing pads, which will go on either side of the range.
